Oxted Health Centre Patient Update from Monday 19th July 2021

Dear Patient

Currently there will be no changes at the Practice in relation to restrictions and patients coming into the surgery will still need to wear a mask, maintain social distance and use the hand sanitiser provided.

Our Staff will continue to wear appropriate PPE.

We have made this decision as generally patients attending the practice are sick, vulnerable and some may be unvaccinated due to medical reasons.

We feel these precautions will help to protect everyone and also minimise the number of our staff catching Covid, which in turn would affect our ability to maintain our health services if we have a reduced workforce both clinically and administratively.

We will continue to offer remote and face to face consultations dependent on the clinical need. Please note that the practice may ask for a PCR test result to be available in symptomatic patients before they can be seen in the surgery. A lateral flow test is not accurate enough in patients who present with symptoms consistent with a COVID-19 infection .

Please note that whilst we are maintaining our core health services for our patients,  we are also continuing with the Covid Imms clinics locally within the community and hope that we can continue to do so with the annual Flu and Booster clinics which will be needed shortly.

We hope that our patients understand why we need to continue with these precautionary measures within the surgery, to ensure we keep a safe environment for everyone.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
